Job Description

Our client, based in the East Midlands, is a successful and growing business who supply laboratory equipment and supplies to a wide range of industries and education facilities worldwide. They are seeking an experienced, self-motivated, target driven sales professional with a Life Sciences background to cover their successful Eastern area which includes Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex.  The role is home based and the ideal candidate will be located in or close to Cambridgeshire.

 

Account Manager – East

  • Achieve and exceed sales revenue targets at account and territory level

•            Market knowledge to identify new business areas

•            Account management operating at a senior level in major accounts

•            Manage complex accounts and solve problems

•            Sales Analysis

•            Implementation of business development plans through direct sales visits to both existing and prospective customers

•            Support Sales manager in training and development of sales staff

 

The successful candidate will have a BSc in a Life Science subject, preferably having completed major courses on molecular biology/genetics.  You should be a senior sales professional who has completed laboratory work experience, preferably in life sciences. This role has particular emphasis on selling to academic and biotech accounts.

We are looking for ambitious, self-reliant candidates who show determination to succeed. You should have strong business acumen to consistently outperform targets. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills together with the ability to present and sell to all levels. You will operate at all levels of accounts and work with minimal supervision. The ability to be organised, have an eye for detail with excellent IT skills are essential. You must also have a current driving licence and live on territory (East UK, ideally Cambridgeshire).

 

The role includes a basic salary of £27-32k per annum depending on experience, OTE of £8k, car, mobile, laptop, home broadband and printer. Contributory pension and healthcare, life insurance and childcare voucher scheme.
