Job Description

Due to ongoing expansion our client, based in Nottingham is looking for an additional internal sales executive to join their team and help in maintaining and growing their customer base whilst delivering excellent customer service to gain repeat business.

The role is a mix of account management, developing relationships with existing customers as well as dealing with new enquiries generated from ongoing marketing and the company website.  Although predominantly office based there will be occasions when you will visit clients.

  • Taking incoming enquiries from clients, taking a brief, negotiating price, taking the sales process from initial enquiry to delivery.

  • Making calls and following up with clients to meet their needs.

  • Developing relationships with potential clients.

  • Maintaining good relationships with existing clients.

  • Going over the perks and benefits of making purchases through one company versus another.

  • Performing research on accounts to help increase interest in the organization and find other potential sales opportunities.

  • Making sure to understand the individual and unique needs of each customer.

  • Outgoing calls to lapsed customers to gain new business.

  • Proactive calls to potential customers with new product launches.

  • Using quiet time in the sales office to proactively research and generate new business.

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven sales experience.

  • Proficiency with various Computer Software Systems.

  • Ability to make proactive calls to generate new clients.

  • Good Written and Oral Communication skills for creating professional documents and giving presentations to interested clients.

  • Good Time Management and Organisational skills.

  • Ability to Listen to Concerns and Handle Criticism without taking it personally.

  • Willingness to travel to give presentations, meet with potential customers.

 

Because of the skill set required for this role, it would ideally suit someone from the Carrier Bag, Print, Packaging or Flexographic Print industry who has worked in a similar customer focused sales / account management position.

The company offers a competitive basic salary of £22-28k depending on experience plus uncapped bonus of between an additional £2-4k per month.  20 days holiday per annum plus Bank Holidays and Christmas shut-down.  Company pension scheme.
