Marketing Copy Creator


Our client based in Sutton in Ashfield is looking for a part-time copywriter to join their marketing team.  The successful candidate will work over two or three days per week and report to the Marketing Manager.  This critical role creates wide-ranging persuasive written sales-focussed communications or our client’s core English marketing channels.



Key Responsibility


Create written copy for a variety of media (on-line, printed) that is accurate and sends compelling positive and interesting information to target customer profiles which results in sales leads being generated.


Detail Responsibilities


Gather information from all sources (databases, suppliers, internal product experts, etc) and by all appropriate means (web research, printed media, interviews, etc) regarding products and services to be promoted.

Write factually accurate and interesting content of appropriate lengths that suits the objectives for each assignment.

Understand and apply the “dos and don’ts” of content creation in maximising the effectiveness of copy for Google search rankings without compromising the experience of the human reader.

Understand and apply the psychology of influence in using linguistic and stylistic techniques in generating desired actions from the readers of your copy.

Collect and review feedback (both electronic and verbal) in order learn, adapt and improve future work.

Review and critically appraise competitor copy and report on findings to your manager.

Proactively improve existing content.

Ensure all new copy or copy  enhancements are approved by management before being viewed by customers or prospects.
